Criminal Justice & Criminology
Located in the largest city in Wisconsin, the school provides students in criminal justice and criminology an exceptional environment to learn. You’ll study the causes of crime, the impact of crime on individuals and society, and the criminal justice system.
By the time you graduate, you’ll be solidly prepared to succeed in a variety of settings, including government agencies, courts, the private sector, nonprofit agencies, and law enforcement agencies.
Graduates from this program have gone on to work as FBI agents, investigators, crime analysts, policy analysts, probation counselors, police officers, chiefs of police departments, victim advocates, and more!
Department Programs
Impressive Students
- Students can choose experiential learning for course credit. The Criminal Justice Field Program places students at internships across the region.
- The school offers study abroad programs in Austria, Costa Rica and South Africa, where students can learn about criminal justice from an international perspective.
- Criminal justice and criminology students can specialize in crime analysis, which is one of the fastest growing areas of criminal justice. Students from other majors can minor in criminal justice and criminology or crime analysis.
- High-achieving students are invited to earn their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years through the Accelerated Master’s Degree program.
- The Criminal Justice Student Association hosts guest speakers, plans volunteer events, and networks in the community. Undergraduate students are welcome to join!
