An apprenticeship is the quintessential example of learning-by-doing. Through the experience of working in a technical job, you can shape your path forward.

A technical or vocational work experience gives you time to learn and practice skills, before you show up for your first day at a new job. You’ll not only discover how to work as part of a team, but you’ll also be able to pick up tips and tricks by working with professionals.

Through learning how to use technical systems while at UWM, students take those skills and ideas and apply them in the workplace.
