Dr. Idella Kangas

Dr. Idella Kangas serves as Interim Associate Vice President for the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Business & Entrepreneurship and oversees the office of Economic & Employer Engagement. She provides leadership for initiatives that connect universities, small businesses, entrepreneurs, economic development organizations and community partners to strengthen Wisconsin’s economy and workforce. Her work focuses on expanding access to university expertise, technical assistance, talent development resources and innovation support for businesses across the state. Previously, she led employer engagement and workforce initiatives for the Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub and directed the Universities of Wisconsin Center for Technology Commercialization.
