University Community Band

The University Community Band (UCB) is a concert band open to community members ages 18+ and students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Students under 18 are accepted by permission of the instructor. There is no formal audition for membership, but previous experience on a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument is required. The band performs one concert each semester, and the repertoire includes both standard and contemporary band literature. Instruments are required at the first rehearsal. The Band is under the direction of Dr. Thomas Gamboa, director of bands at UWM.

Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7-9pm in the Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus (2419 E. Kenwood Blvd.). Room 280.
