The degree in Occupational Science and Technology provides you with many career and higher education options.

If you plan to continue your education at the graduate level you should note that most programs desire a student to have a 3.0 GPA. The UWM Graduate Program in Occupational Therapy requires a 3.00 GPA for admission with full graduate standing. Admission to graduate programs is competitive and a 3.00 does not guarantee admission.

It is important to work with the Pre-Occupational Therapy (Pre-OT) advisor (Aggie Northrup, MS) beginning in freshman year or upon entry to the OST Degree Program in order to plan all needed activities into your college career. Having the Pre-OT designation on your transcript record will allow you access to key information about UWM OT Program information sessions, assistance with your application, student organizations, and more.

If you plan on pursuing a career after graduation, consider employment in the area of activities, disability, healthcare, insurance, life enrichment, special education or other areas. The UWM Career Planning and Resource Center (CPaRC) provides many services to help you prepare and secure employment during school and after graduation.

Use UWM’s Graduation website to review campus-wide graduation requirements, graduation application deadlines, application for graduation, and ordering your cap and gown.
