Athletic training students learn about injury and illness prevention, wellness, emergent care, clinical examination, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation for physically active individuals. Students in the Certified Mental Performance Consultant Certificate Program complete coursework and supervised experiences to facilitate employment opportunities in various settings (e.g., elite sport, military).

Communication Sciences and Disorders students want to help clients learn to cope with communication disorders such as stuttering, delayed language development, and voice or articulation problems and communicate more effectively. Or they could evaluate people’s hearing and prescribe hearing aids or other assistive listening devices.
