Holiday Hours
The University, including the Registrar’s Office, will be closed on the following days: December 24th, 25th, 31st, and January 1st.
The Registrar’s Office will be open for virtual services only on the following days: December 26th, 29th, 30th , and January 2nd.
In-person services will resume on January 5th.

Students may be eligible for Commencement or Final Honors upon completion of their degree, depending on their cumulative GPAs and the number of credits they’ve completed at UWM.

Designations & Requirements

Commencement HonorsMust meet the following criteria prior to the final semester:
Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and
At least 40 degree credits completed at UWM for Bachelor’s degree candidates (at least 20 degree credits for Associate degree candidates)
Final HonorsBachelor degree or Associate degree candidates with a final cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher Bachelor degree candidates must have at least 60 degree credits completed at UWM.
Associate degree candidates must have at least 30 degree credits completed at UWM.
Cum Laude – 3.500 or above
Magna Cum Laude – 3.650 or above
Summa Cum Laude – 3.800 or above
