About Us
The department of Psychological & Brain Sciences is among the largest departments on campus, and psychology is the largest undergraduate major program at UWM.
The neuroscience major was added in recent years to provide a streamlined curriculum for undergraduates that combines biology, biochemistry and psychology coursework.
We are home to highly productive researchers who garner larger public and private grant funding. Our research specialties are renown and center around three areas: clinical psychology, health psychology and neuroscience. Our excellent reputation for research, education, and training in psychology make our graduate program competitive nationally and internationally with many more applicants than seats available.
We pride ourselves on consistent efforts and attention to building a collegial atmosphere in the department with every student, staff and faculty member working towards our shared goals of creating and disseminating new knowledge in the fields of psychology and neuroscience.
