All printing using University/state funds, whether produced internally or externally, must be ordered through Print & Copy Service’s printing services area.

Printing Services runs a full-service in-house print shop located in the USR building, at 115 E. Reindl Way, about two miles west of campus, north of Capitol Drive.

Services Provided


Print specialists coordinate all print jobs for UWM and can provide assistance on selection of paper, layout, size, price estimates, etc. Contact a print specialist before you begin your project to help ensure the final product will meet your needs, time constraints and budget.

Graphic Design

Graphic Design services are available to meet your needs.  For comprehensive design, from concept through final design, you may also contact Visual Design.


A pre-press expert is available to provide information about preparing your files to ensure your furnished files print properly.

1-,2-, & 4-Color Offset Printing

1 pms color, 2-color, and 4-color offset printing is available and is most economical in quantities of 500 and up. Offset printing in black ink only is generally most economical in quantities over 2,000, depending on stock and size of finished piece.

Full Bindery

Full bindery services including:
• collating
• perfect binding (soft-cover books)
• saddle-stitching
• folding
• drilling

Wide-Format Poster Printing, Mounting, Laminating

Brilliant full-color wide-format poster printing is available up to 44” wide in any length. This is ideal for 1-2 copies of posters. Corollary services provided include mounting to foam core and laminating.

Wide-Format Sign & Banner Printing

Wide format sign and banner printing using eco-friendly latex ink is available to produce items to 60″ wide by any length. Indoor/outdoor banners, window clings, fabric posters, wall and floor graphics, vinyl stickers and contour cutting are some of the items available.

External Print Buying

Printing that cannot be produced in-house will be done externally, either via state/local contracts, or via the bidding process. A print specialist will determine if the job should be produced externally and will make all the necessary arrangements and contact the appropriate vendor(s) to produce external jobs.


Your print job will be delivered to the destination indicated on your order. If you prefer, you may pick up your finished job at the Print Shop.

Production Time

Standard turnaround time for most print jobs is two weeks, but may vary depending on your needs, current production schedule(s) and other circumstances.

Billing Statements

Billing statements, which list each job number and its charges, are sent out monthly to Unit Business Representatives. All printing will be charged to the internal billing number you provide on the RSO (Request for Service Order) or online order form.
