Students play various roles while honing their writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Over the years, the UWM team has won a number of local and regional competitions. Student Government

Political science students often have an interest in serving in student government and being a part of shared governance at UWM.

Political Party-Based Student Organizations

UWM has a number of different student organizations for students interested in party politics. See the campus’ student organization directory to search for an organization of interest.

UWM has more than 300 student organizations. Don't see one you like, start a new one!

Students will find organizations that focus on career development and networking; social clubs; sports and activity clubs; community service and volunteer groups; and more. Membership can lead to leadership within the organization, adding to your resume before you even graduate.
