INTLST 193 First-Year Seminar:
3 cr. Undergraduate.
Specific topics are announced in the Schedule of Classes each time the class is offered.
Prerequisites: none.
General Education Requirements: SS
Course Rules: Open only to freshmen. Students may earn cr in just one L&S First-Year Sem (course numbers 192, 193, 194).
INTLST 250 Introduction to Study Abroad
2 cr. Undergraduate.
Discussion of study abroad programs by addressing objectives, cross-cultural communication; specific programs and pre-departure information.
Prerequisites: none.
Course Rules: No degree cr for students with cr in IntlSt 350 'Studying in the World's Regions'(ER). Cr/no cr only; audit not permitted.
INTLST 260 Introduction to International Careers
2 cr. Undergraduate.
Introduction to a wide variety of career options in area of international studies, partly through lectures with academics and professionals from relevant fields.
Prerequisites: none.
Course Rules: No degree cr for students with cr in IntlSt 350 'Careers in the World's Regions'(ER). Cr/no cr only; audit not permitted.

INTLST 297 Study Abroad:
1-12 cr. Undergraduate.
Designed to enroll students in a UWM sponsored program before course level, content, and credits are determined and/or in a specially prepared program course. Section title(s) and credits announced whenever course is offered.
Prerequisites: acceptance for Study Abroad Prog.
Course Rules: Retakable w/chg in topic.

1-6 cr. Undergraduate.

INTLST 450 Internship in International Studies
2-6 cr. Undergraduate.
Internship offering on the job experience to selected majors in international studies. Student enrolls for a specific number of credits.
Prerequisites: jr or sr st; gpa of 3.0; writ cons prog coord.
Course Rules: Retakable to 6 cr max. Cr/no cr only; audit not permitted.

INTLST 497 Study Abroad:
1-12 cr. Undergraduate.

INTLST 498 Applied Foreign Language
1 cr. Undergraduate.
Independent reading in a foreign language as companion to courses in international studies. To be arranged with International Studies coordinator.
Prerequisites: 2 yrs college-level work in a foreign language or equiv; cons IntlSt coord.
Course Rules: Retakable to 6 cr max.
