Celebrating 10 Years Of Coffeeshop AstroPhysics

Friday, April 26, 2024

6:30 pm (doors open at 6pm)

LUBAR ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER

2100 E KENWOOD BLVD, MILWAUKEE, WI 53211

10 years ago marked the start of Coffeeshop Astrophysics, a science outreach group formed by graduate students and postdocs at the Center for Gravitation, Cosmology, and Astrophysics. Over the past decade, they have given dozens of science talks at Anodyne Coffee in Walker’s Point on wide-ranging topics in physics.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they would like to invite you to this special presentation given by former members of their group. They will talk about the importance of science communication, share their history, and discuss the connections they’ve made with the Milwaukee community.

The event will be held at the Atrium of the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center at UW-Milwaukee. There will be free appetizers and a bar with drinks for purchase.

Please RSVP here by April 22nd

We look forward to seeing you there!
