Declare Your Major

1. When to Declare

Ideally, you should declare the major as soon as possible, in order to take advantage of departmental advising in planning the best sequence of upper-level courses. There are no prerequisites you need before declaring.

3. Advising for Majors

After submitting your request to declare your major, you are strongly encouraged to meet with the Philosophy Undergraduate Advisor, Dr. Magnússon (magnusso@uwm.edu) to ask any questions you may have about the program requirements, talk philosophy, or at the very least, to give us an opportunity to get to know you and learn your name!
