Looking for a rewarding and exciting way to study? Studying abroad gives students a unique opportunity to learn while getting to know another culture, living in a different environment, learning a new language and being immersed in foreign customs and traditions.

Opportunities for studying abroad are available to a wide range of destinations and for lengths of time ranging from a couple of weeks to a full academic year.

The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s Center for International Education – Overseas Programs and Partnerships administers the programs. More information on UWM Center for International Education.

The Center for Global Health and Equity coordinates study abroad programs for nursing students, and others with an interest in global health. In short-term programs, to countries including Malawi, Kenya, Mexico, South Korea, and China, students learn about the health care systems, practices, and beliefs of their host countries.
