The UWM Libraries can arrange for binding of personal copies of master’s theses and dissertations written by UWM graduate students and faculty. Binding orders must be processed through a UWM department. NOTE: Not all UWM departments provide this service. Please see alternatives to this process below.

To Order

Contact your department and make arrangements for payment. See Method of Payment, below.

After contacting bindery staff (schulz25@uwm.edu), unbound theses and dissertations can be delivered to the Circulation Desk at the Golda Meir Library. All manuscript volumes must be provided as the library does not offer printing services.

Theses and dissertations are bound in black bindings with the title and author’s last name embossed on the spine in gold, unless otherwise specified at the time of order.

You or your department will be contacted via phone or email when the bound copies are returned from HF Group, the bindery currently under contract with UWM. Arrangements must be made for these copies to be picked up at the Golda Meir Library. We do not mail personal copies.

Delivery Schedule

We are on a 4-week delivery/pick-up schedule (with some exceptions). Volumes sent out on one date will be back on the next. You will be contacted when they have been unpacked and are ready to be picked up. If you have any questions, please call 414-251-5970.
