Research Consultation services are available for current UWM students, staff, and faculty. Consultation services are held in-person in the library, online, over the phone, or by email.
What is a research consultation?
A research consultation is a one-on-one 30-60 min meeting with a librarian to help you work through a research-related challenge. Librarians will not do your research for you, but, during a consultation, they may:
- Explain library tools and resources
- Help you brainstorm search terms and strategies
- Guide you through choosing sources
Most people meet with a librarian 3-10 days after filling out the consultation request form.
