UWM Gallery Night

September 21 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Explore the galleries across UWM’s campus after hours, with choice artwork, historical pieces, and performances that pay tribute to the relationships between terrestrial / celestial and art / science. Visit the campus galleries in the Golda Meir Library (Special Collections, AGSL, Grind), Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP Gallery), Mitchell Hall (Mathis Gallery), Union (Union Art Gallery), Kenilworth Square East, and Curtin Hall (9th floor, C21 and WGS spaces).

We recommend starting at either Kenilworth or the Union’s gallery (with an opportunity to see the renovation-in-progress), then moving to Mitchell Hall (1st floor), taking the 2nd floor pedestrian bridge to Curtin Hall (9th floor) and moving to the library and SARUP spaces.

Pop-up events will help guide your flow through the spaces and include:

  • 4:00-6:00PM – Mathis Gallery – Art History Welcome Event
  • 5:00-6:00PM – UWM Library Grind space / cases – Poetry Slam
  • 5:30PM – Curtin Hall 9th Floor – WGS Quilt Rehanging
  • 6:00-6:30PM – UWM American Geographical Society Library – Star Maps Discussion led by Marcy M Bidney

A Gallery Night Passport will be available at most locations. You can mark where you have visited for a chance to win an art-themed prize.

All galleries and activities are free and open to the public.
