Student Life at UWM

UWM is a world-class institution in a major metropolitan city. Its 30,000 students compose the most diverse of the University of Wisconsin System institutions. In addition to the varied academic opportunities, there is a wide range of organizations and activities of Jewish interest at UWM, including the following.

Hillel Milwaukee

Hillel Milwaukee strives to create a dynamic, warm and celebratory Jewish environment for Milwaukee’s university students and young adults (ages 18-26) where they can explore and express their Jewish identities and gain a sense of belonging within the Jewish community. The organization offers holiday and cultural programs, Shabbat dinners, leadership opportunities, social action projects, Israel programs, outdoor activities, and social gatherings. Jewish young adults from all backgrounds all welcome as are all local students who have a sincere desire to learn more about Judaism.

Chabad

Lubavitch of Wisconsin is dedicated to serving all Jews throughout Wisconsin with programs that provide the education to promote Jewish learning and awareness. It encourages and facilitates the efforts to increase Jewish knowledge and observance.
