When to Declare

Students interested in a minor in Jewish Studies are encouraged to speak with the Coordinator, Dr. Rachel Baum, as soon as possible. Dr. Baum is best reached over email at rbaum@uwm.edu.

To declare a minor in Jewish Studies, simply complete the following steps:

  1. Click on the Declaration of Minor Form button below. (Link leaves site.)
  2. Fill out the Declaration of Minor Form.
  3. Submit the Declaration of Minor Form.

What happens next?

  • An undergraduate faculty advisor will receive your submitted request to declare Jewish Studies as a minor and will review your unofficial transcript.
  • Within approximately 5-7 days, you will receive a detailed email from the Jewish Studies faculty advisor with your assessment.
  • Your request to declare Jewish Studies as a minor will be approved (unless otherwise stated) and filed as part of your student record.
  • You have officially declared Jewish Studies as a minor, WELCOME to the Jewish Studies department!
