Whether you are fully online, fully in person or a mix of both, we hope you will take advantage of every opportunity at UWM to build your resume of experiences related to your studies.

Explore study abroad! Ask about getting involved in one of our research projects! Connect with Milwaukee organizations!

We offer a major, a minor, and a certificate in Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Studies. The major and minor are available in a fully online format, and we have students from all over the country and the world!

With the major, students can choose to focus on Hebrew Studies which will include Hebrew language classes, or Jewish Cultural Studies. Students interested in the foundations of Judaism and reading of Biblical and classical Jewish texts should choose the Hebrew Studies track. Students interested in modern Jewish history, literature, film and politics should choose the Jewish Cultural Studies track.
