Please join the Japanese Program for a screening of the wonderful film Time Scoop Hunter featuring subtitles by students in the UWM Japanese Program. Based on the television show of the same name, Time Scoop Hunter centers around a team of time traveling journalists who uncover the mystery of how medieval warlord Oda Nobunaga’s Azuchi Castle was actually destroyed. This screening is the final film in a semester-long series showcasing the work of students in the Japanese Program course Japan 361: Translating Japanese Media. In the course, students work in teams to subtitle feature length Japanese films that are not commercially available in the US and do not have commercially available English subtitles.
