Hanes, Jonathan

Jonathan is involved in a variety of efforts related to data analytics, data and report production, and institutional research. In particular, his work focuses on:

• the capture of official student enrollment information for campus reporting and UW-System’s Central Data Request
• the creation and maintenance of interactive tools for data assessment and analysis
• enrollment forecasts
• understanding patterns and trends in student enrollment and retention

Jonathan worked previously as an assistant professor in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographical Sciences at Northern Michigan University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jonathan also serves currently as an adjunct assistant professor in UWM’s Department of Geography.
