The Information Science & Technology (IST) Career Discovery site is a set of learning modules created by the School of Information Studies (SOIS) for individuals thinking about pursuing a career in IT. This online tool is designed to help students get familiar with emerging topics and careers in the field of Information Science and Technology!
The site contains short videos created by SOIS instructors on a variety of IT topics including Web-Based Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and more! Each video is followed by a short activity that individuals can complete to demonstrate their new knowledge. Students can earn digital badges for each module completed!

After completion of the online learning modules, students will have a better understanding of emerging topics in IT and will associate these topics with specific career opportunities available in the field.
Complete Modules to Earn a Scholarship!
Once you successfully complete at least 6 IST Career Discovery Modules, and are admitted into UW-Milwaukee’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Program, you will earn a $1000 scholarship toward your first year at UWM’s main campus!
