Spring 2024 Recognition Ceremony!

The College of Community Engagement & Professions (CCEP) invites all eligible School of Information Studies (SOIS), School of Education (SOE), and Helen Bader School of Social Welfare (HBSSW) Spring & Summer graduates and their guests to the Spring 2024 Recognition Ceremony. We will celebrate your achievements and honor all graduates, new Beta Phi Mu nominees, and School Librarianship Certificate recipients.

Graduates will be called to the stage and recognized. At that time you will have the opportunity to say a few words, if you wish.

Business Casual Dress. (cap and gown is not required for this event)

During the ceremony we will be recognizing our Military and Veteran students. If you are interested in being recognized, please indicate your Military status on the CCEP Recognition Ceremony RSVP so we may honor your services. Beta Phi Mu Nominees
SOIS Beta Rho Chapter of Beta Phi Mu (ΒΦΜ): Founded in 1948 at the University of Illinois, Beta Phi Mu is the International Library & Information Studies Honor Society for library and information science professionals. Its significance was recognized in 1968 when it was formally admitted to membership in the Association of College Honor Societies.  Membership in Beta Phi Mu is by invitation only and is based on the recognition of high-quality performance in work undertaken for the professional degree. Spring 2024 UWM Commencement Ceremony – Sunday, May 19, 2024.
UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena: 400 W. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203

The ceremony is for all Associate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Candidates. All students who have applied for graduation before the stated deadline will be able to obtain tickets for their guests to attend the UWM Commencement Ceremony at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
