Omorodion Okuonghae

Omorodion is a distinguished Librarian, LIS educator and Wikimedian with several years of experience in Library and Information Science. He has worked in several institutions, including Wesley University Ondo and Glorious Vision University (formerly Samuel Adegboyega University), Ogwa, Nigeria. Omorodion plays a pivotal role in advancing digital literacy and supporting academic research through the effective management of electronic resources.

Omorodion holds impressive academic background that includes an M.Sc. in Library and Information Science from Delta State University, where he graduated with distinction. He is also a certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) and holds certifications in Microsoft SQL and Management Information Systems. Omorodion has been dedicated to enhancing information literacy among students and staff, organizing numerous training sessions, and supporting research initiatives across various institutions. His work extends beyond the university setting, as he is deeply involved in volunteer activities with Wikimedia communities in Nigeria, where he has held leadership roles, including President of the Edo Wikimedia Hub. His initiatives have focused on promoting open knowledge practices, climate change awareness, and the preservation of indigenous knowledge.
