Bio

Jihee Beak is an adjunct instructor at the School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). She also works at the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research at UWM as a Policy and Planning Analyst and Coordinator of Data Analytics & Assessment. She earned her baccalaureate’s degree in Library and Information Science from Kyungpook National University in South Korea, and MLIS and Ph.D. in Information Studies from the School of Information Studies, UWM. Her major research interests focus on knowledge management and organization, with experience in the evaluation of knowledge organization systems and policies, development of metadata and thesaurus, domain analysis, and scholarly communication. In addition, she has taught courses related to information architecture, database management, and knowledge organization.
