Bio
Catarino David Delgado teaches Generative AI literacy and serves as UWM’s LMS Administrator & Digital Learning Environment Coordinator. His portfolio spans enterprise platform leadership (Canvas and the teaching-tech suite), accessibility and policy alignment, cross-campus governance, and instructor-facing course/assessment support. He led UWM’s D2L-Canvas migration, co-founded the Teaching & Learning Support stakeholder network, and helped steer continuity planning through COVID—connecting academic goals to secure, scalable systems.
Areas of Expertise
Teaching & Learning + Policy: Course design, universal/inclusive design, assessment, governance, ADA/WCAG/Section 508 alignment, and external-tool vetting/roles & permissions.
Enterprise Platforms & Integrations: Canvas (admin/strategy), Kaltura/Zoom, proctoring, student response systems, bookstore/course-eval rollouts, and issue/change management.
Software & Data: Front-/back-end development (Python, PHP, HTML/CSS, JS), databases (MySQL, SQL Server), web hosting/admin, Windows/Linux server ops, and data viz (Power BI, Tableau).
Design & Media: UX/navigation, wireframing, video and graphics production; extensive Adobe CC; web architecture and frameworks.
Continuity & Change Leadership: COVID continuity planning; cross-unit liaison structures; knowledge base and comms; mentoring and culture-building.
Artificial Intelligence: Designed and launched INFOST 270: Generative AI Literacy; co-leads UWM’s AI initiative spanning policy/ethics guidance, instructor training series, and practical labs on AI tools and classroom integration.

INFOST 270: Generative AI Literacy (proposal, design, and instruction; now a Gen Ed course).
University-wide AI initiative and training: policy and responsible-use guidance; multi-session instructor series; TA bootcamps; assessment-redesign and syllabus-language workshops; hands-on labs for AI tools.
Over 25 years of higher-education faculty and student-targeted workshops spanning inclusive course design, accessibility (ADA/Section 508/WCAG), Canvas, assessment and academic integrity, media, learning analytics, graphic design, document production, and software development.
Selected Leadership & Service
Led UWM’s multi-year LMS migration (D2L to Canvas); launched cross-division TLS stakeholder group; co-led UW-System external-tool vetting; chaired UW Roles & Permissions advisory.
Platform stewardship for Canvas and the DLE toolset; governance, security, accessibility, and instructor success initiatives.
Full-stack + systems work for a high-volume marketing firm; developer roles at UW–Madison and UW-Eau Claire; UW System D2L site admin/webmaster.
