Shared Services directs the talent acquisition process for all supported units. We work with those we serve to determine the appropriate organizational structure, the skill set required to successfully perform position tasks, and how that supports the strategic goals for the school, college, or division. Dedicated Human Resources Business Partners and Shared Services operations staff then work with units through the entire recruitment process, from the initial position approval through the final letter of offer.
Services Provided:
Background Checks
Oversee submission of background check requests and monitor for applicants/employees. Communicate results appropriately.
Data Entry
Standardize new hire data entry into HRS. Includes, person, position, job, manage profile and tenure tracking data. May be expanded with increased functionality.
Orientation Checklist
Provide onboarding checklists and resources to ensure provisioning, access and compliance with applicable law. Standardize Service Center processes for acclimating new employees.
Job Postings
Post advertisements for jobs and track effectiveness of placements.
Position Approval
Develop and standardize automated workflow for requesting new positions and securing necessary approvals.
Search and Screen
Orient search and screen committees and provide consultation and support, including coordinating search and screen meetings, taking meeting minutes, and retaining meeting records. This does not include travel arrangements or coordinating schedules for finalists interviews.
