Faculty Spotlight: Mark Schwartz

The National Phenology Network has just released the beta version of a new tool called Gridded Spring Indices which implements Prof. Schwartz’s Spring Indices (models of the onset of spring) into a system to track the progress of the start of spring across the lower 48 in near real time. This is something Mark has been dreaming about doing for years—now finally becoming a reality!
