Fees are associated with certain Saukville Field Station activities, to help cover the additional costs of cleaning and utilities.
Overnight lodging fees in the Farmhouse are assessed to according to the type of use:
- UW-Milwaukee affiliated, Research, Instruction or Outreach: $18.00 per person per night
- UW System affiliated, Research, Instruction or Outreach: $20.00 per person per night
- Non-UW System affiliated, Research, Instruction or Outreach: $25.00 per person per night
Groups or individuals who request exclusive use of Saukville Field Station facilities will be required to pay for the entire lodging space requested, not just the beds used.
Long Term Lodging Discount
The Saukville Field Station offers long-term users a 30% lodging discount. This rate is available to any type of usage (research, instruction, or outreach) associated with a particular research project or educational event for which there are 28 or more consecutive nights.
Classroom Fee
Partial day use (up to 4 hours):
- Non-profit $25
- For Profit $50
Full day use:
- Non-profit $40
- For Profit $80
The classroom fee will be waived if at least 10% of the group pays for overnight lodging.
Instructional and Research Support
Users are responsible for providing their own supplies, unless otherwise discussed with the Director. If special equipment or a facility needs to be fabricated, repaired, or maintained, labor will be charged for this extra service. There is a flat labor rate charge of $15/hour for UWM affiliated research/instruction and $30/hour for all other requests.
