New students are required to participate in Orientation and Panther Transition Experience as a part of their new student onboarding at UWM. Students complete orientation in the months and weeks leading up to their first semester at UWM and conclude their onboarding with Panther Transition Experience the week before the first day of the term. Highlights of these programs include:
- Enrolling in courses and getting set up with UWM technology tools
- Exploring campus and resources that will support student success
- Building awareness of important resources and policies related to Title IX, Free Speech, and the Federal Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Participating in UWM traditions with fellow new Panthers and making memories that last a lifetime
Orientation and the Panther Transition Experience are organized by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
