Anne Marshall

Dr. Anne Marie Marshall is Associate Director of the Center for Math and Science Education Research at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and co-leads the master’s degree program in mathematics teacher leadership. Her career began as a third-grade teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools and has included more than a decade as an associate professor at Lehman College in the Bronx, New York.

Marshall earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland–College Park. Her scholarly interests focus on supporting people in mathematics communities and strengthening equity in mathematics education from PreK through higher education. She has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and was a member of the writing team for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics publication Catalyzing Change in Early Childhood and Elementary Mathematics (2020).
