Program Sheet In-Person MBA & Online MBA
Delivery format is different but the curriculum remains the same.
Graduate Certificates
Adding a certificate may only be an additional zero to nine additional credits to your overall curriculum, and is a great way to satisfy your elective requirement.
Equivalency Exam Resources
Equivalency Assessments are available for two foundation courses, BUS ADM 701 Business Mathematics and BUS ADM 703 Financial Accounting. If you have not been granted Advanced Standing (AS) for one or both of these courses, you might be eligible to complete the Equivalency Assessment for the requirement.
BUS ADM 701 Business Mathematics
• The assessment for BUS ADM 701 Business Mathematics is a multiple-choice test that is available in Canvas.
• You must contact your Academic Advisor to request access to the exam. Upon completion of the exam, please notify your Academic Advisor so your responses can be reviewed.
• If you score 30/40 correct (75%), you will be granted Advanced Standing for BUS ADM 701.
BUS ADM 703 Financial Accounting
• The assessment for BUS ADM 703 Financial Accounting is completion of a LinkedIn Learning course, “Key Topics in Accounting,” and submission of your completion certificate
• You can find information on how to set up your UWM LinkedIn Learning account here: LinkedIn Learning – Technology Resources (uwm.edu)
• You can find the course here: Key topics in accounting | LinkedIn Learning
• You must submit the PDF of your completion certificate to Graduate Student Services to be granted Advanced Standing for BUS ADM 703. Please contact your Academic Advisor for more information on this process.
Keep in mind that these are assessments of your knowledge, and are designed to help you make effective decisions in selecting the classes in which to enroll. If you complete an assessment, but still feel you need more instruction in the subject area, you are welcome to enroll in the full course as well. Please note that credits completed for coursework in BUS ADM 701 and BUS ADM 703 do NOT count towards your graduate degree.
