Recent UWM architecture graduates Anika Gingle and Aime Rabadan created an 8-by-12-foot model of downtown Milwaukee that highlights the influence of UWM’s School of Architecture & Urban Planning (SARUP) on the city’s built environment.
In a UWM Report story by Erin O’Donnell, Gingle and Rabadan share how they spent more than 500 hours each researching, digitally modeling and 3D printing nearly 400 buildings. A key created by student Quinn Fister identifies buildings and infrastructure shaped by SARUP faculty and alumni.
“Seeing how UWM alumni have impacted Milwaukee’s downtown is really inspiring and motivating,” Rabadan said.
The model is on display in the Architecture & Urban Planning Building and will be available to view during Doors Open Milwaukee on Sept. 26.
