The Master of Science in Athletic Training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and meets the educational requirements to become licensed in every US state except California, which does not require licensure. Completion of the degree does not automatically result in licensure in any state, including Wisconsin. However, students graduating from the program are eligible to sit for the national certification examination administered by the Board of Certification (BOC).

See the National Athletic Trainers’ Association for state licensure requirements.
