Associate Director of Environmental Health, Safety, and Risk Management Zack Steuerwald was promoted to this position in November 2012.  He joined the University Safety and Assurances Department in 2005 to implement and grow the Laboratory Safety program.  He has managed the Safety and Environmental Programs since 2007.  Zack has a Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Prior to UWM, he was the Safety Supervisor at a chemical and food stuffs blending and packaging company.
