A-Roll Doyne Walk on Hoan Bridge

Summary:

John Doyne and Milwaukee County residents on a walk (or “trek”) across Hoan Bridge. The segment begins with audio by Scott Mischnick, who states that the walk drew 350 participants meeting at Clybourne and Milwaukee Streets by a completed on-ramp where they accessed the bridge. Footage includes interviews with Doyne about the reason for the walk and also impressions from walkers. Doyne organized the event for citizens to appreciate the lake front and learn about the history of the construction project. The bridge project was controversial since its inception, requiring an Environmenal Impact Statement given concerns of it ruining the lake front in expanding the freeway system.
