Summary:

Footage in Essen, West Germany, of duplex homes built of concrete and mortar with tile roofs. Hugh Carlson reports on the durability of German house construction and its expense compared to that in the United States, and he describes its quality by showing a home under construction and others completed in established neighborhoods. He also interviews a German builder, whose son builds American frame homes in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
