WTMJ-TV news set up for the general election, Promo 2

Summary:

Footage of the WTMJ-TV news crew setting up for live coverage in Milwaukee of the general election. The segment begins with an interview area of plush furniture at the Pfister Hotel. Outtakes show Bob Sherwood describing the news operation while standing in front of a forty-foot, self-contained remote truck with five color cameras parked in a hotel back lot. Film emphasizes the WTMJ communication technology for the election (“being the most comprehensive coverage in Wisconsin history”) used across multiple sets at Radio City, Milwaukee downtown hotels and the remote truck. At the WTMJ-TV station, crew are seen using typewriters to prepare scripts, IBM computers to create punch cards, and a Burroughs TC-500 to count votes; at the hotel, crew set up in the interview stage; and at in the remote truck, video and audio engineers are checking controls.

This is the first reel of two; also see SR475.
