Disability Transportation Mini Doc Part 1 A-Roll

Summary:

Footage on Milwaukee transportation for people with disabilities in the wake of court rulings to offer equal services. This segment focuses on wheelchair dependent individuals needing more options for urban mobility. It begins with a profile of June Price, an employed woman who has multiple sclerosis, and interview with her about how she supports equal public transportation services as a tax payer in place of depending solely on transportation agencies and friends to get around. It shows clips of June and other wheelchair-bound individuals visiting a nature park made possible by bus services through the County Park Commission. The segment also includes an interview clip with Jean Logan, an advocate for people with disabilities who speaks about the legal aspects of mandates for Milwaukee County to provide bus services with special lifts.
