Jocelyn Szczepaniak-Gillece is a cultural historian of American film, exhibition, spectatorship, and visual technology. She is the author of The Optical Vacuum (Oxford University Press, 2018) and the co-editor of Ends of Cinema (University of Minnesota Press, 2020), as well as multiple articles in journals and anthologies.
