I grew up in Southern Germany, where I became interested in amphibians as a teenager. I spent several years living in Costa Rica (study abroad; MS research) and graduated with PhD in 2003. I’ve been at UWM since 2007, and my research interests are social behavior of frogs (communication; sexual selection). My teaching interests are General Ecology and the Ecology of Amphibians and Reptiles.
