Charles (“Charlie”) Joseph Paradis was born in San Francisco, California and raised in the East Bay. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the University of California Berkeley, a Master of Science degree in Hydrology from the University of California Davis, and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Geology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He held the position of Associate Geologist for Parsons Corporation before his doctoral studies and held the position of Post-doctoral Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory after his doctoral studies. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Physical Hydrogeology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He conducts research in contaminant hydrogeology with an emphasis on the mobility of redox-sensitive heavy metals and radionuclides in groundwater. His most recent publication is titled “Single‐Well Injection‐Drift Test to Estimate Groundwater Velocity” and is published in the journal, Groundwater.
