Project Description
This study examines whether a short, 2-week, program in theatrical training can impact children's moral reasoning. The project will be coordinated with a summer course offering through UWM College for Kids. Students will learn basic acting skills, and will work through a production of a series of Greek mythological storiesthat centers on basic moral dilemmas. We will conduct pre- and posttest measures to determine whether this experience influences children's moral reasoning.
Tasks and Responsibilites
The student will help with the development of survey and interview materials. They will work with the course instructor with the delivery of the lessons. They will also help conduct the interviews. After data are collected they will aid in data entry, coding, and analyses. The student will then help prepare reports for publication and presentation (at regional and national conferences).
