Manufacturing operations often experience disruptions when critical components arrive late, forcing organizations to choose between expediting shipments or delaying production. These decisions become more complex when multiple parts are running behind schedule, as expediting only one component may not prevent an overall production delay. This project will develop an Excel-based decision support tool designed to help organizations evaluate expediting options for late parts in a production run. The tool will generate clear visibility into alternative courses of action such as expediting all parts, expediting only a subset of parts, or delaying production. Cost and schedule implications of each option will be summarized in a clean and easy to follow dashboard.
