Project Description
The objects are to develop a short documentary video for the public about the burial mound at Lake Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During fall 2025, film footage was acquired during an on site interview with Bill Quackenbush, the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer for the Ho Chunk Nation. The video will center the living Native Nations and the importance of the mortuary landscape to their culture.
Tasks and Responsibilites
1. Edit video footage acquired in fall 2025.
2. Create at 5 to 7 minute video about the Lake Park Burial Mound, and its importance to Indigenous peoples, appropriate to the general public.
3. Presentation of the video to the Wisconsin Inter-Tribal Repatriation Committee in spring 2026.
