Project Description
The overall objective of this research is to support a Twitter reenactment of a historical event, put on annually by students in History 450 (Growth of Metropolitan Milwaukee), an OUR-supported Course-Based Research Project. The key to the success of the reenactment is the creation of a character bibliography. and a student-initiated online digital archive. This project requires significant advance conceptualization and library research, so that enrolled students can focus their energies on the interpretive and creative work around the reenactment. In fall of 2022, the theme will be the creation of Milwaukee’s water and sewage systems. The methodology of the research is using library and internet tools to identify primary and secondary sources about the historical figures being reenacted.
