Project Description
This project involves the creation of original, dynamic diagrams that demonstrate geologic processes in a way that is visually appealing to students. These diagrams will be used in both the classroom and in digital learning tools to better advance the understanding of earth science and its applicability to our current way of life. Topics covered will include plate tectonic settings, volcanic hazards, flood risk, hurricane risk, and water resources.
Tasks and Responsibilites
After choosing and planning the content with the mentor, the student will be given creative license to create original diagrams/sketches/artwork that display the necessary information in a way that can be effectively used in an educational setting. The student will be given the necessary science background and examples as reference. The student will be responsible for submitting the artwork to the mentor at different stages in its creation to make sure the student is on task with displaying the needed content in a scientifically accurate way. The final product will need to be in a digital format.
