Project Description

The selected candidate will contribute to a diverse range of projects in the Fish Ecology lab. Projects will focus on preparing fish and invertebrate samples for stable isotope analysis and performing field fish sampling in the Milwaukee River, Milwaukee Harbor, and Lake Michigan.

Tasks and Responsibilites

-Freeze drying, homogenizing, and tinning biological samples for stable isotope analysis.
-Enumeration of fish gut contents (frequency and mass) using standardized lab methods
-Preparation of telemetry gear for deployments
-Field work including sampling of fish populations (will require IACUC training).
