Project Description
The objectives of this research project are to: (1) understand the mental wellbeing of sexual and gender diverse (SGD) youth in (a) comparison to their cis-gender and heterosexual (CitHet) peers) and (b) how these may differ across urban/suburban/rural settings. (2) Explore the impact of extracurricular activity involvement on mental wellbeing both in comparison to (a) CitHet peers and (b) across settings. This will involve a quantitative, cross-sectional design.
Tasks and Responsibilites
This study is in early stages. As such, the student will be responsible for researching and acquiring potential measures, assisting in the development of the Qualtrics survey format, creation of consent forms, and assist in the data collection as needed. They will also be tasked with consent form collection management and participant incentive distribution.
